So while we’re waiting on that (soon!) I figured the audience at large would be interested in some opening hints on how best to manage their character. Instead of including him as an option with a generic title like "Male 4," the development team wanted to specifically call out Nolan North because he has voiced many iconic video game characters.It’s hard to review an open world game and Saints Row: The Third is no exception. "For those not aware, Nolan North is the voice actor who brings to life a number of the biggest characters in video games." "In Saints Row: The Third we provided an oddball option of a nonsensical zombie voice, but we wanted something even more unique for Saints Row IV, so we included an option for 'Nolan North,'" Phillips explains. In Saints Row IV, the player will be able to select from one of seven available voices to give their character a unique personality. "In the process of brainstorming for that new marquee weapon, one of our guys said the words 'dubstep gun' and we all immediately knew it was a weapon that we HAD to bring to reality," says Phillips.
"Early on the project I told the designers that although we had a lot of very cool weapons we didn't yet have anything as iconic as we had for Saints Row: The Third." "The huge popularity of the dubstep gun - a weapon that kills with the power of dub music in Saints Row IV - was by design, not an accident," explains Phillips.
